Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib
Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib is an important part of a Sikh's life. This is the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji raised the Khalsa by administering Amrit to five of his followers known as Panj Pyare. In return, he received baptism from them on March 30, 1699. The baptism of the sword was meant to create fearlessness in the Sikhs. They were enjoined to carry the kirpan for the purpose of the defence of others and for the uprooting of evil.
